Frequently Asked Questions

General

  • 600 Baronne St. — downtown New Orleans, where the magic happens.

  • We’re open Thursday through Monday from 12 noon until 10 pm or sellout. Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays (and yes, we know you miss us).

  • Nope. We’re first come, first served. Just show up hungry.

  • We hear you. We’re working on expanding hours — maybe earlier, maybe an extra day — but for now, plan your cravings accordingly.

Ordering & Menu

  • Not yet and maybe not ever — we want to make sure it travels as beautifully as it eats fresh. For now, it’s dine-in or takeout only.

  • We can accommodate most half-and-half pie requests as long as the entire pie is all red or all white – we can’t mix half of a white pie with half of a red pie.

  • The Basic. A classic cheese pizza. Straight up. No gimmicks — just the real deal. And yes, he thought it was “spectacular” (his words, not ours).

  • Yes. Our dough is made fresh in-house and fermented for over 48 hours. We use five different types of flour imported directly from Italy to achieve the perfect texture and flavor.

  • Yes! You can place pre-orders up to two weeks in advance directly through our website. For larger catering orders (5+ pizzas), we offer more flexibility—you can schedule further out than two weeks, request pickup before or after regular hours, and secure priority scheduling. Just fill out our catering form here, and we’ll send a catering invoice to confirm your order.

Ingredients & Dietary

  • No gluten-free dough yet, although some customers with mild gluten sensitivities have told us that our Italian flour does not affect them the way that American flour does (no guarantees here). Some vegetarian-friendly items are available — just ask the crew.

  • We use only the highest quality mozzarella cheese — rich, creamy, and crafted for superior melt and flavor. It’s free from fillers, anti-caking agents, or unnecessary additives — just pure, clean dairy the way it should be. We use authentic cup-and-char pepperoni — thick-cut in-house, naturally curled at the edges, with that perfect crisp. It’s made with top-tier cuts of meat and a slow aging process that brings out a bold, spicy flavor. They are supposed to have a little char to bring out the flavor.

Drinks & Vibes

  • Yes. Our bar is fully stocked with premium cocktails, beer, and wine — curated to match the vibe. Still working on our specialty cocktails, so feel free to leave suggestions.

  • Absolutely. Belly up to the bar anytime we’re open.

Payments & Policies

  • We are cashless. All major cards and contactless payments. No cash.

  • Yes! Ask at the counter or purchase online.

  • You know it. Tees, hats, koozies, and other forbidden goods — in store and soon online.

  • Not offsite, but we do accept larger catering orders in advance via text message (504-233-0821) or via email: hello@forbiddenpizza.com. And we provide priority scheduling as below.

  • Yes, we reply to text messages and emails — but we don’t actively monitor them during service hours. Expect a delay, and if it’s urgent, visit us in person. Our phone line is not monitored for calls.

Brand & Identity

  • We’re having fun with the name and with the pizza. Pizza is personal; this is our favorite pizza, and it was forbidden to us for so long. It’s bold, rebellious, and impossible to forget. Once you know, you know.

Catering Orders

  • We allow pre-orders on our website up to two weeks in advance. For large catering orders (5+ pizzas), you can request priority scheduling—including pickup at your chosen time, before we open, or after we close. Larger catering orders may also be scheduled more than two weeks out if you reach out through our catering form. [Fill out form here to request catering]

  • Yes! For larger catering orders, we may be able to accommodate pickup between 11:30am and noon (before we officially open), or even after hours. Please complete our catering form in advance so we can confirm and schedule your order properly.
